(Studi Kasus di DKI Jakarta)
The study of development strategy for Tourism, Arts and Culture Industry under the implementation of regional autonomy/ decentralization regulation (in DKI Jakarta) consists of several indicators, such as: product, promotion, distribution, human resources, investment, and cooperation based on SWOT method. The implementation of the regional autonomy regulation is hoped to give a positive impact in tourism development as it allows direct active participation of community in all aspects. Jakarta’s tourism stakeholder is in a good position to fully support the existence and execution of this activity.

HUBUNGAN ANTARA FAKTOR-FAKTOR YANG MEMPENGARUHI KONSUMEN
DENGAN KEPUTUSAN KONSUMEN UNTUK

Occupancy percentage of the hotel are affected by preference and satisfaction on the customer. The above two condition will be a crucial aspect to create a repeated or returning guest. The hotel should realize the customer behaviour and try to develop the psychological relations as well as possible.
The objective of this study to mprehend the hotel factor influence the customer behavior therefore they wil decide to return to the same hotel in the future. The accomplishment of the research was at the Permata Hotel Bogor for two month (March – April 2000). The method used Correlation Research.
The result perform that tarrif and service will be the main aspect to the customer at Hotel Permata to return the same hotel. The hotel shoul consider about the improvement of the service quality and in same time provide reasonable price to the customer.

HUBUNGAN ANTARA KARAKTERISTIK DEMOGRAFIK WISATAWAN DOMESTIK
DENGAN PEMILIHAN CINDERAMATA

The largest portion of tourist expenditure is spent on shopping. Thus, the availability of shopping goods becomes an important issues in tourism industry. However, very few studies had been done in this field concerning type of goods being purchased. As a starter, this research focuses on tourist retail expenditure. The purpose of this research was to study about the relationships between the demography characteristic of domestic tourists and their preferences on souvenir purchase. This research is designed using correlational method, with the total number of respondent is 99 persons. Collected data have been analyzed by ‘Descriptive’ and ‘Pearson correlation’ statistical specifications. The result of this research showed that there is a correlation between craft buying behavior and demographic characteristics of tourists such as gender, age, educational background, and income.

KARAKTERISTIK WISATAWAN ASING DI INDONESIA
Travel motivation and selection of tourist destination are widely varied and influenced by external and internal factors. Internal factors are derived from individual characteristics of tourists such as age, gender, etc. (psychographic aspect). Beyond that, is what we called external factors, consisted of demographic and geographic aspect. This study aims to map out a correlation between the geographical background in terms of country of origin and the destination preferred (travel motivation). Specific character of tourists obtained from this study can be used as a basic reference in tourism development, specifically in marketing strategy.

Integrated tourism development model based on community empowerment has been globally awared, including Indonesia. Bali as one of many tourist destination in Indonesia is a success story of tourism development model. Generally, tourism can be developed in two approaches: (1) Close approach which focuses on economic development, and (2) Open approach that focuses on empowering local community.
Kuta Beach and Nusa Dua as two of many tourist destinations in Bali has successfully applied both aforementioned approaches. Finally, this model should inspire other tourism stakeholders in other parts of Indonesia.

PEMANFAATAN KARTU “GUEST HISTORY” UNTUK MEMPERTAHANKAN
KUNJUNGAN BERIKUTNYA BAGI TAMU HOTEL REGULER
Service quality improvement to guest and customer is important in order to attract guest in coming back as a repeat guest or regular repeat guest. Guest History is one of many other ways to improve the service quality. It allows an easy and quick check-in for guest at the Counter Front Office. This way, it will be less time consuming and thus gives customer satisfaction. Guest History is proven to give a positive impact in maintaining incoming flow of repeating regular and important guests which reaches 85 percent.

RUTE GEMUK SUATU JALUR FAVORIT PENERBANGAN
Airline companies favors heavy and frequent route as it gives more profit and sustainability for the company, based on considerations as follows: (1) economical considerations; profitable route fulfill the condition of length, traffic heaviness, and average distance of route. (2) political considerations; government has the authority in determining and permitting the selection of route in relevance to the interest of government, community, and operators. (3) geographical considerations; international route has more geographical considerations than domestic route.

Like it or not, the existence of Culture and Tourism is two inseparable phenomenon that are mutualistic. On one side, culture has the potential to attract people which leads to the development of tourism especially if it is supported by socio-cultural approaches. On the other side, tourism can maintain and even develop the preservation of culture and its values. However, exploitation of culture becomes a negative issue within this matter if it is developed without any responsibility.

Pendidikan pariwisata di masa mendatang lebih diarahkan pada peningkatan profesionalisme yang spesifik dan mengha-silkan tenaga kerja terampil yang memiliki banyak keahlian (multi talent) dengan mengutamakan dukungan dari hasil penelitian dan pengembangan sebagai bagian dari pendidikan itu sendiri. Pergeseran paradigma pendidikan serta globalisasi mempersyaratkan adanya kerjasama global, meliputi ker-jasama professional (profesioanal linkages) dan kerjasama in-dustrial (industrial linkages), agar segala bentuk perubahan dapat diantisipasi sedini mungkin.
